Predictions for the 2024 College Football Bowl Season + Army-Navy

I went 5 for 6 in Saturday’s conference title games last week, bringing my record this season to 624-231 (.730).

Bowl Season starts on Saturday, the same day as the Army-Navy game, and what had an enormous amount of hype has decreased since Navy lost three straight games earlier in the year after a 7-0 start.

Today is also the announcement of the Heisman Trophy winner. I’d love for it to be Ashton Jeanty, but I think Travis Hunter will get it. it’s too good to pass up his combined presence (I think he has played twice as many snaps as anyone because he plays two ways full time and hardly gets taken off the field). Rightfully, he won the Biletnikoff award along with the Bednarik award. If he isn’t drafted no.1 overall I’d be surprised.

I don’t predict it to happen, but if Montana State wins over North Dakota State, AND Oregon wins the national championship, there will be 16-0 champions in both the FBS and FCS levels of Division I college football.

Oregon is eliminated so there will be no 16-0 champion on the FBS level. Give credit to the seeds 5-8, whom played sound football. The semifinalists were the 3rd (Texas), 4th (Penn State), 5th (Notre Dame), and 6th (Ohio State) best teams in the country. I don’t think too many people saw it coming that every team that got a first-round bye lost. The top 2 seeds lost by a combined 33 points.

The two teams playing for the title were the pre-season number 7 (Notre Dame) and number 2 teams in the country. As far as the teams that made the CFP, 2 of the 12 teams were unranked heading into the season (Boise State, Arizona State) and ended up having first-round byes.
