Week 3 is in the books, and we saw some of everything. From a 61-yard winning field goal by Missouri’s Harrison Mevis to rain delays to Alabama dropping out of the top 10, we’ve seen almost everything we couldn’t expect to have happened already in a matter of weeks. Week 4 is when most teams start playing conference opponents, so this is when the going really starts to get tough, if it hasn’t already. Moreover, many teams looked like they were sleepwalking through their games but still came through with W’s. However, this upcoming week is another week that chaos could ensue.
Sonny Dykes will coach against his former team when TCU takes on SMU, and Lane Kiffin will try to become the second apprentice to take down the former Master head-to-head this season.
The biggest headline of the week is that Michigan State’s Mel Tucker is about to be terminated for cause. They looked awful against Washington, though it’s hard to be worse than rock bottom unless you’re living under a rock.
